Hello, fellow NES-heads!
I’m just dropping in to tell you about my sorta-new Nintendo Substack!
It’s called “Nintendo is Great” and I’ll be chronologically playing and exploring through every game ever released for a Nintendo console or handheld, starting with the NES and moving to the Switch 2.
Yes, that’s right: I’m going through the NES library again. I’ve already completed years 1985-1987 and am currently in the last quarter of 1988. Since I’m between 12-15 years older than I was when writing Questicle, my thoughts on these NES games have changed! Bad games are still bad games, though. Case in point: Ghostbusters.
But it’s not all NES and jam. I’ve already started the Game Boy library, and I expect to be plundering the depths of the Virtual Boy, Super Nintendo, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 64, and the GameCube in 2026.
Basically, if you’ve enjoyed Questicle over the years, I believe you’ll enjoy Nintendo is Great as well.
